Army Contact charity kitchens

We showed our support for our brave soldiers and their families by supplying and installing, free of charge, two brand new fully integrated kitchens for “contact houses” at the Service Family Married Quarters area, located near the City Centre of Inverness.

It was our great privilege to give something back to those who protect us and next year we hope to follow this with another show of gratitude within the community.

Additional thanks to our kitchen fitters who gave up their time for such a worthy cause and special thanks to the Unit Welfare Warrant Officer, Black Watch, 3rd Battalion, who was our on-site liaison but also approached us in the first instance.

“Contact houses” allows Soldiers, Dependants and family members from across the UK to visit children, partners and loved ones who are based at Fort George (near Ardersier) as part of the 3 SCOTS battle group.

The improvement to the contact houses will ensure that the relatives, children and partners of the Soldiers of 3 SCOTS will have a welcoming, sustainable and enjoyable place to stay whilst loved ones are deployed overseas or on commitments in the UK.
